Who am I?

The biggest problem in healthcare IT today? We have run before we could walk. We talk about artificial intelligence, but we have not mastered the basics of secure data exchange in healthcare.

I never intended to be an expert in interoperability or a consultant for global health tech companies.

Honestly, my start was a detour: I was studying Medicine because I loved Biology, but I quickly realized my real drive was for research. After four years, I knew I needed a change.

That change led me to a year of volunteering in Denmark, and then, back in Spain, to Biomedical Engineering. That is where everything clicked. I discovered the world of informatics, and it instantly felt right.

It was during my studies when I discovered interoperability. My mind immediately went back to those days in my hospital internships. I remembered seeing countless windows open on a screen, clinicians sighing in front of computers, and patients queuing at the clinical documentation department.

Because yes, even though years have passed and we are now in the era of artificial intelligence, we still find major problems in exchanging and storing patient information quickly, effectively and securely. These problems directly impact the quality of patient care and cause deep frustration.

I chased that passion aggressively. What is special about informatics engineering is that you do not need many resources as a student; you can easily turn what you imagine into reality. That is why I pursued a Master’s in Web Engineering: I wanted to get my hands dirty and truly implement solutions, not just discuss theory.

Since then, I have spent over six years leading projects for organizations. My focus is always the same: moving from strategy to real integration.

(My most recent role brought me here to Lucerne, Switzerland. Honestly, it is impossible not to feel inspired by this place!)

This space is launching to share the direct, hands-on experience and practical lessons from complex projects, focusing on implementation over presentation. I seek to inspire and support the transformation of healthcare ✨
